Morning Meditation:
ChinTai Do...is the Japanese word
for "‘the art of movement". It is a movement art
form that involves the awaking and revitalizing of the Chi energy
in the body, while stretching and activating the bodies meridian
system. It is a kind of movement and stretching Reflexology. When
regularly performing these exercises, the body feels more open and
relaxed, and the breath more free...bringing more circulation and
oxygen flow into the cardio-vascular system of the body. Basically,
Chin Tai Do is a guided, structure of specific
movements to bring the Chi into healing action, combined with working
and loosening all the joints in the body. During the Theater
Intensive Training we use Chin Tai Do
as our morning meditation to help prepare the body and the spirit
for what happens through the rest of the day. If you see the body
as your house that you live in, it is a little like cleaning the
house before inviting the guest (your experiences through out the
day) to visit. At the end of the meditation we always express our
gratitude for life, by bowing down to Mother Earth.
