Regarding sphagnum moss, it is havested from the swamps in the mountains over 1,000m in height and trucked into the processing factory. After dehydrating 30% of water content out of fresh moss, we immerse the moss into the water pool for cleaning and separating weeds from it and keep its natural luster. In final, all bacteria are oxyenated and the pH value maintains at 5~5.6 constantly. Before graded and compressed into packs for sale, the sphagnum moss is hehydrated by centrifugal machines and dried by natural air till the water content is scaled at about 10%.
Sphagnum Moss, growing in swamps and classed into one of advanced plants, has antibacterium and over ten (10) kinds of biochemical enzymes and so on. There are also carbohydrates, amino acids and trace elements within it. Since early times, sphagnum moss has been used in the medicine and the horticulture industry. Currently Sphagnum Moss is extensively used in orchid-growing and flower seedlings culture owing to its excellent advantages of high water-holding capacity but still allowing the plant roots good ventilation, helping the plant resist disease and keeping fertilizer effects.
