HOW TO GET TO OASIS

By Car

Approaching Heng Chun from the north, remain on Hwy 26 and bypass Heng Chun on the west side. Watch for km marker 24. About 1/2 km beyond that sign, turn right at the stoplight. (There are many hotel signs at this intersection)

Follow this road for about 2 km to a small village. At the end of the village, the road turns sharply left. At this corner, turn right into a small lane. OASIS is about 100 meters down this lane on the right side.

By Bus

There is frequent bus service from Kaohsiung (both the train station and airport) to Heng Chun. Look for buses headed to Kenting and buy a ticket for Heng Chun.

At least three companies currently provide this service:

1. PingTung Bus Company or Kenting Express
2. Chung Nan Bus Company
3. Kuo Kuang Bus Company (formerly the government bus)

When you arrive in Heng Chun, please call OASIS and we will come and pick you up. Or you may take a taxi to OASIS. Please note: Taxis in Heng Chun are not necessarily painted yellow and they are not usually metered. The cost for a taxi ride to OASIS will have to be negotiated. 100-150 NTD is the standard rate.

By Air

As of January 2004, there is a domestic airport in Heng Chun with daily flights to and from Taipei (and possibly) Taichung. The schedule is limited and may not be convenient. Please check with domestic airlines or a local travel agent for information.
